Terms of Use
The rules for using this website, what Help My Legs does and does not do, and the limits of what we can be responsible for.
Effective date: July 15, 2026. Last updated: July 15, 2026.
By using this website or submitting a form on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Please read the section about medical care carefully, because it explains the most important limits of this service.
What Help My Legs is
Help My Legs is an educational website and a connection service. We publish general information about leg symptoms and conditions, and if you ask us to, we pass your details to an independent physician near you so their office can contact you about an evaluation.
Help My Legs is operated as a DBA (“doing business as”) of Coastal Medical Services. That DBA registration is in process.
What Help My Legs is not
This is the part that matters most, so we will be direct about it.
- We are not a medical practice and we do not provide medical care. We are not a doctor, a clinic, a hospital, or a pharmacy.
- Using this site does not create a doctor and patient relationship between you and Help My Legs.
- Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Our articles and symptom pages are general education. They are not about you specifically, because we have not examined you.
- We do not make clinical decisions and we do not direct the care you receive. Every clinical judgment belongs to the physician who treats you.
- The candidate check on this site is not a diagnostic tool. It scores answers with software to help route your inquiry. It cannot tell you what is wrong with you, and no clinician reviews it before it reaches a physician’s office.
Only a qualified health professional who examines you can tell you what you have and what to do about it. Please talk to one before making any decision about your health, and do not delay seeing one because of something you read here.
Emergencies
This site is not for emergencies and nobody here is monitoring it for urgent messages. If you think you are having a medical emergency, including sudden severe leg pain and swelling, a leg that is cold, numb, or changing colour, chest pain, or trouble breathing, call your local emergency number or go to an emergency department now. Do not fill in a form and wait.
About the physicians we connect you with
- They are independent. They are not our employees, partners, or agents, and they do not work for us.
- We are not responsible for the care they provide, for their advice, or for anything that happens in their office. Your relationship for treatment is with them, not with us.
- We do not guarantee that a physician will contact you, that they will accept you as a patient, that you will be a candidate for any procedure, that your insurance will cover anything, or that any particular result will follow.
- We take reasonable care about who we work with, but connecting you with a physician is not a warranty about that physician, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment. You are free to see anyone you like, and you should feel free to seek a second opinion.
How we are paid
We think you should know how this service makes money, because it affects nothing about the care you get but you deserve to see it anyway.
Help My Legs does not charge you. We do not currently charge the physicians we work with either. If that changes, physicians will pay us a flat, fixed fee for marketing in a defined area. That fee will not depend on whether you have a procedure, what procedure you have, what it costs, or what anyone bills for it, and we will never be paid per patient or take a share of what a physician collects.
Who can use this site
You must be 18 or older to submit a form. This site is intended for people in the United States.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information. If your phone number or ZIP code is wrong, we cannot connect you properly.
- Only submit information about yourself, unless the person has asked you to do it for them.
- Do not send us the things we say we do not collect, such as your Social Security number, insurance member ID, or medical records.
- Do not use this site to break the law, to harass anyone, to submit false inquiries, or to interfere with how the site works.
- Do not copy, scrape, or republish our content without permission.
Your privacy
What we collect and who we share it with is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

The site is provided as is
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be correct, complete, current, or uninterrupted. Medical understanding changes, and a page that was accurate when written may not stay that way. To the fullest extent the law allows, we provide this site without warranties of any kind.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Help My Legs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or from your dealings with a physician we connected you with.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Indemnity
If you misuse this site or break these terms and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we will say so rather than quietly editing the page. We may also change or stop parts of the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
